FPL Physio Injury Summary GW 10

Who's fit to play and who's out?

Greetings fellow FPL nerds! This is my first newsletter, so any feedback is greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy it!

Eze: 0 %

Eze was subbed off during the match, but there wasn't any clear footage showing when or how he might have been injured. However, he was seen holding his left hamstring while walking off the pitch with the physio.

Sadly it has been confirmed that Eze is out, and will be until after the international break.

Opinion: Easy sell.

Wood: 80 %

Wood was dealing with a knock after the game, but later stated he was fine.

Nuno Santos also confirmed that Wood will be assessed in training on Friday. I think he will be fine, but you never know.

McNeil - 65 %

I am feeling hopeful just like Sean Dyche that McNeil will play. It didn’t seem like anything major at first glimpse and I reckon that Dyche is not like Arteta. I believe that when Dyche say that they are hopeful, it’s quite positive.

I must say though that rumors have been going around that he hasn’t trained yet, and if that’s the case, then he’s a major doubt.

I have him on my team, and I’ll start him.

Gabriel - 75 %

Latest news about Gabriel is that he was in contention for the Preston game, and is expected to play against Newcastle. Major news, if correct.

The news is coming from Kayak Kaynak who is a Chief Arsenal Writer for the Football.London. He is wellknown for bringing some great insights.

But then again..There were swelling, the physios tested for MCL and he had to come off. It’s a tricky one, this one.

In the end, I believe a journalist who has great insights into the club than my judgement and prediction which is based on what footage we have available.

My prediction is therefore based on a journalist with a great track record, Arteta press conference, and that it didn’t look serious when it happened.

Sometimes I try to take in all the information available and not just my own physio experience.

I own Gabriel and will start him.

Van de Ven - 0 %

Van de Ven was subbed off after injuring his right hamstring during a tackle on Savinho. He was immediately seen clutching his hamstring, and on-field tests by the physio confirmed the concern.

Unfortunately, VDV left the pitch in tears, which can often signal a more serious injury. Early indications suggest a grade 1-2 hamstring strain, meaning he could be sidelined until after the international break.

Ange has confirmed that Van de Ven will be out until after the international break.

Opinion: Easy sell.

Savinho - 50 %

What a drama! Stretchered off and in tears..

“It’s nothing serious”.. was the first rumors…

Then rumors came that Savinho has suffered a bone bruise or a ankle sprain, which will keep him sidelined for 7-14 days..

But then new rumors surfaced about it was only a knock, which was confirmed by Pep..

Pep Guardiola on Savinho's injury: "It was a knock, a strong one, but it's not fractured..."

Take a look how fast things move..

I have no idea what to expect at this point…

Right now I’m leaning more towards him playing..

Gvardiol & Akanji - 75 %

I tried to analyze it the best I could based on the footage we have. Guardiola didn’t give us much during the press either:

Pep didn’t give us much information either..:

"Tomorrow you will know it. You will see it, the list. I have many doubts, most of them, half-half... Tomorrow you will know it..."

I think think Gvardiol will play.

We don’t have much info about Akanji other than he withdrew from the warmup against Spurs. Latest rumors is that he could feature, but as we have no footage, leaks or anything, it’s impossible for me to predict anything.

Son - 90 %

Short and precise. I believe Son will play.

But, I don’t expect him to play 90 minutes.

It would be standard protocol to give Son about 60-75 minutes, so keep that in mind.

Thank you for reading!

I hope you enjoyed it and found it valuable!
